To help you get to know the faces behind our products better, we introduce a new member of the Schuchmann team every month under the motto “Three Questions for”.

Today, it is the turn of a familiar face: David Tollerfield. David held leadership roles at Schuchmann UK for nine years and played a key part in developing this market into our largest outside Germany. Since the beginning of this year, he has been working with us as International Sales Manager. Based in the United Kingdom, he supports our international distribution partners across Europe, Australia, and emerging markets. As a qualified physiotherapist with 14 years of experience in paediatric mobility, he brings extensive prior knowledge to this responsible position.

1. David, what has been your greatest success at Schuchmann so far?

My biggest success so far has been establishing the Schuchmann brand in the UK. Building the company from the ground up and watching it thrive whilst helping so many children across England, Scotland and Wales has been the highlight of my career to date and it will take some beating, but I’m determined to try!

2. What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I’m looking forward to learning how different countries operate and meeting our partners around the world. I love connecting with new people, and this role provides a fantastic opportunity to do exactly that while representing Schuchmann on the international stage.

3. How do you best unwind at the end of the day?

Honestly, I’m not great at switching off, but I focus on coaching my 10-year-old son’s football team and watching my 8-year-old son play sports. I also enjoy a round of golf, tackling DIY projects, and spending time with the people who matter most.
