Dr. Dirk Heinicke on the subject of pain
We cordially invite you to our seminar on standing and transfer in the provision of assistive devices. One goal of human motor development is to stand upright. However, this goal is often unattainable for children with motor development delays. In these cases, a standing trainer, among other things, can help them to benefit from all the advantages of standing.
In this context, we are particularly pleased to welcome Dr. Dirk Heinicke as a guest speaker. He will deal with a central aspect of care: the topic of pain – especially in patients with chronic illnesses and complex limitations.
A particular focus of his presentation will be on pain in children suffering from long-term illnesses or severe physical impairments. In this patient group in particular, it is often a challenge to correctly recognize and treat pain. This also raises the question of how to communicate with pain patients when they find it difficult or impossible to express themselves. Communication plays a crucial role in pain therapy and requires a high degree of empathy, specialist and, above all, team knowledge.
In addition to these aspects, Dr. Heinicke will also talk about various treatment options – both conservative and drug-based approaches. The focus here is on individually tailored strategies that can play a decisive role depending on the patient situation and the provision of aids.
This seminar is aimed at all professionals in the provision of medical aids who would like to deepen their knowledge and gain new impetus in dealing with pain patients. We look forward to your participation!
