Safety: the most important factor for car seats
Car seats that are approved in accordance with ECE R44 may still be sold until the end of August 2024. We were therefore looking for a new partner for car seats that fulfils the current safety guidelines and attaches great importance to design. Swandoo completely fulfils both requirements. Swandoo car seats are all approved in accordance with the current ECE R 129 child car seat standard – also known as i-Size. ECE R 129 places higher demands on the protection of children. For example, the risk factor of side collisions is taken into account more in this standard than in the old ECE R44 standard. Forward-facing driving is possible from 15 months and is only recommended from the age of two.

Swandoo was founded by two fathers who found it increasingly difficult to find products for their own children that met their expectations. For this reason, they took the development and production into their own hands. They describe themselves as an “innovative and global company specialising in child safety and lifestyle solutions for families”. We have a similar story. Schuchmann was founded because we couldn’t find suitable aids for a severely multi-disabled family member. Since then, we have been developing and selling our products ourselves.

Our elephant manni. symbolises what Schuchmann stands for: faithfulness, loyalty and genuine family cohesion. And for safe and high-quality products.

With marie, Swandoo offers an award-winning car seat with many advantages, such as directional assistance, the 360° rotation option, the eye-level indicator for perfect adjustment options and the Side Impact Buddy for maximum safety.
We have taken the established car seat as a basis and adapted it to the requirements of children with disabilities. The resulting marie integral. offers innovative accessories for optimum positioning, such as adjustable thorax supports or an arm support pad to help children sit upright. Optional hip cushions and an abduction wedge can be used for optimum positioning.
charlie integral. – Your cool car seat right through to teenage years
With charlie, Swandoo has developed marie’s big brother. This award-winning car seat combines comfort with maximum safety for children from 100 to 150 cm tall! The full-length EPP shell structure including Side Impact Buddy ensures maximum protection in the event of a side impact.
Out of conviction, we used the charlie as the basis for our charlie integral. The development of high-quality accessories was also particularly important to us here. The charlie integral. can be ordered in two basic models. The models differ in the type of additional harness: either a lap harness or a harness with a 5-point belt can be configured. As with the marie integral., an armrest and an abduction wedge can also be used for better positioning. A height-adjustable footrest gives children and teenagers even more support during the car journey.
How did the addition “integral” come about in the product names? The integral symbols in the names of the modified car seats underline our strong commitment to integration and inclusion. Together, we ensure that every child has access to the same opportunities and experiences, regardless of their circumstances.
