German Reunification Day – Let´s demolish the walls in the head!

One of the symbols of German Reunification Day is the Wall. For 45 years it´s separated East Germany from West Germany. With the fall of the Wall, a new life began for the people. Suddenly, they could vote and travel wherever they wanted. Nevertheless, there were challenges to overcome. For many there is still separation – be it through different salaries, views or opportunities.
More participation and inclusion
We would like to use the German Reunification Day to draw attention to walls in our heads – they must finally be torn down. For us the focus falls on people who are physically or mentally restricted from birth or due to an accident. They are part of our society! They and their relatives deserve recognition – or at least the possibility to lead a free and normal life, without exclusion, discrimination or even persecution. We hope that inclusion and participation will finally become reality – not only in the West and East, but everywhere!
