Standing is a basic human need. Being at eye level with others offers not only social but also therapeutic benefits. Children and young people who are dependent on sitting aids and wheelchairs should break up long periods of sitting with regular standing exercises. Sitting for too long is unhealthy and promotes illnesses such as muscle shortening.<\/p>\n

It is not important to stand for particularly long periods. Standing in itself – even for short periods – is enough to prevent secondary diseases caused by sitting. Standing is really good for people and their health: it increases bone density, aids digestion, reduces joint contractures and makes breathing easier.<\/p>\n

Shifting the weight onto the legs helps to develop strong and stable joints around the hips, knees and ankles. However, standing is not only important for health: children are much more attentive in an upright position and can perceive their surroundings better. When standing, they are always in the middle of things and can interact with their playmates. If standing trainers offer a very small standing surface, it is easy for the little ones or older children to get very close to their friends or even to a school blackboard.<\/p>\n

Don’t be afraid of the standing trainer!<\/h4>\n

Standing trainers, standing devices or leaning systems are often only used for children and adolescents with motor impairments in GMFCS class 4 or 5. The severity of the illness or disability often requires aids with extensive support options and individual accessories. But: don’t be afraid of more complex products!<\/p>\n

Our innovative inclined lying system offers a closed lying surface that promotes the patient’s body awareness and thus reduces stress during the standing unit. The raising forces, pivot points and pad supports have also been optimized. This means that even inexperienced people can adjust till. correctly.<\/p>\n

Pressure points are a thing of the past thanks to the ingenious FKP. Our flexible knee positioners are individually adjustable in three dimensions. Length-adjustable contact straps adapt perfectly to the shape of the knee. The FKP. are made of neoprene and are therefore particularly supple and skin-friendly. Result: Up to 70% less pressure on the knee! Conventional knee support systems can cause pressure points on the kneecap, lateral condyles, thigh and shin.<\/p>\n

Optimum positioning of the lower extremities is made possible by length and angle-adjustable legs and the optimum foot position is achieved by individually 3D-adjustable footrests. These can be lowered to the floor.<\/p>\n

Some things you can\u2019t buy off the peg. And so you have to \u201cdo it yourself\u201d.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we have once again used out 3D printer to create a small but useful tool. This is a template with which the grip tape for the feet can be cut to fit exactly. This allows the coating to be perfectly applied to the wooden standing surface, so that you can stand securely and without slipping.<\/p>\n
