wow… in a few days a special year will end,
\nwhich has kept us all very busy.
\nTherefore we would like to thank you once
\nagain for your loyalty and support!<\/p>\n

The extraordinary situation this year has
\npresented us all with challenges – whether in
\nour everyday lives, at work or in our private lives.
\nAt the same time, people are reporting a
\nhigh level of solidarity, neighbourhood help
\nand mutual trust. We hope that many of
\nthese positive effects will continue in the
\ncoming year.<\/p>\n

We would like to contribute a small
\npart to this and therefore, as in previous years,
\nsupport institutions and projects.

Third Advent:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Do elephants freeze in winter?<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Shortly before Christmas we visited our godchild Minh-Tan in the Osnabr\u00fcck Zoo<\/a>. We asked ourselves the question whether the elephants are actually cold in winter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yes, the skin on their ears is thin and they can get cold,” says Andreas Wulftange from Osnabr\u00fcck Zoo. That’s why the animals are fed something richer in calories in winter and there is a heat lamp in the elephant house under which they can warm themselves.<\/p>\n

To make sure that the keepers (Alexander Nolte and Daniel Menken) in the elephant enclosure don’t get cold either, we took them something to warm them up \u2013 cups of tea and chocolate.<\/p>\n\n
