A large amount of radioactivity was released during the explosion and meltdown in Block 4 of the reactor. Thousands of people lost their lives. To this day, people still suffer from cancer or have severe genetic damage.<\/p>\n<p>Especially in Belarus children are born with sometimes severe <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-19305 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schuchmann.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/schuchmann_tschernobyl_kinder_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"302\" height=\"403\" \/><br \/>\nphysical and mental impairments. The families often do not have the availability or the financial means to get suitable aids for their children. Schuchmann supports Chernobyl-affected children and we support the german association &#8220;Hilfe f\u00fcr Tschernobyl-gesch\u00e4digte Kinder e.V.&#8221;, which brings relief supplies to the affected region several times a year.<\/p>\n<p>This is why we donated <a href=\"https:\/\/schuchmann.de\/en\/produkt\/marcy\/\"><em><strong>marcy.<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/schuchmann.de\/en\/produkt\/malte\/\">malte.<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>walking frames for one of the last transports to Mogilew.<\/p>\n<p>We are happy to be able to help at least some of the children and to contribute relief their families.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We donated <em>marcy.<\/em> and <em>malte.<\/em> walking frames for one of the last transports to Mogilew.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":19355,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[525],"class_list":["post-19163","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-schuchmann-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Support for Chernobyl-affected children - Schuchmann GmbH &amp; Co.
