Her daughter Sarah can now ride her <a href=\"https:\/\/schuchmann.de\/en\/produkt\/momo-tricycle-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">momo tricycle.<\/a> \u2013 ALONE! If you had seen Sarah a year ago you would never have believed it. Sarah was born with \u201cDe Grouchy Syndrome\u201d this is a genetic defect which causes a delay in her speech, development and also causes hypotension. Because of this she only learned to walk when she was nearly 3 years old.<\/p>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-av_image-d985612e278d5c02eb78c353b6532bbd\">\n.avia-image-container.av-av_image-d985612e278d5c02eb78c353b6532bbd .av-image-caption-overlay-center{\ncolor:#ffffff;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='avia-image-container av-av_image-d985612e278d5c02eb78c353b6532bbd av-styling- avia-align-right  avia-builder-el-0  avia-builder-el-no-sibling '  itemprop=\"image\" itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\" ><div class=\"avia-image-container-inner\"><div class=\"avia-image-overlay-wrap\"><img decoding=\"async\" class='wp-image-14172 avia-img-lazy-loading-not-14172 avia_image' src=\"https:\/\/schuchmann.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Schuchmann_Sarah-momo-4.jpg\" alt='' title='Schuchmann_Sarah-momo-(4)'  height=\"480\" width=\"640\"  itemprop=\"thumbnailUrl\"  \/><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>A lot of ambition and a big wish<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite learning to walk the now five year old Sarah still needs a lot of support. She has to go to Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy sessions every week. Sarah shows unrestrained ambition, this little girl has a big wish, she wants to ride a bike! The first approach was to try a regular bicycle with stabilizing wheels but Sarah\u2019s mother Sandra wasn\u2019t convinced \u201cI was always afraid that she would fall over because it was so shaky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then Sarah tried the <a href=\"https:\/\/schuchmann.de\/en\/produkt\/momo-tricycle-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">momo tricycle.<\/a> and everything changed. She doesn\u2019t want to get off the saddle anymore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cycling means freedom and inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Five weeks later the new bike was delivered, our colleague Christina Hertel brought the tricycle herself and the joy from Sarah and her family was enormous. \u201cYou can also cry when something beautiful happens and I was in tears\u201d said Sandra. She now enjoys spending more time outside with her daughter and can do some trips; \u201cSarah is flexible now, she has a new attitude to life and it means more freedom for her and for us.\u201d Someone else is able to have fun too, Sarah takes her beloved stuffed sheep Nici everywhere she goes in the bikes basket.<\/p>\n<p>There is now one more wish for Sandra and her daughter \u2013 they would like to take a bicycle tour at the North Sea.
